Harunosuke Takahashi wins Excellent Work at milbon DA-AD Photo 2025

Harunosuke Takahashi, now a stylist at Assort Melbourne, won Excellent Work at milbon DA-AD Photo 2025, Milbon's photo contest for hairdressers across Asia. He won it in 2025, while he was working at Assort Hong Kong.

His photo was one of 15 works chosen as Excellent Work, from salons in Japan, Korea, Malaysia, mainland China and Hong Kong. Milbon published the winning works on 1 October 2025. In December, Milbon Hong Kong named him one of the two Hong Kong & Macau winners of this award, chosen by the Japanese judges.

Every entry had to carry the year's theme words, "Beyond the Limits". Milbon's message behind them: the moment you feel you can't go on is your big chance — if you don't give up, you are unstoppable.

About milbon DA-AD Photo

DA-AD is a photo event held each year by Milbon, the Japanese professional hair-care company founded in 1960. In Milbon's own words, it is a "socially-minded advertising photo event": hairdressers create a picture around a theme slogan for the times, to grow their power to move the people who see it.

It is open to salons that use Milbon products. Each Excellent Work winner receives a 100,000-yen education grant and a shield.

In Hong Kong and Macau, Milbon is brought by PS Group, its sole agent there.

Harunosuke started at Assort Tokyo, then moved to Assort Hong Kong, and has been at Assort Melbourne since July 2026, where you can find him on the salon's page.
